Prom this year is scheduled for Friday May 25, 2012.
While prom is what we are shooting for, Grand March is very important. This is when you come up to the school for pictures in the gym with Chuck Orton and the backdrop that has been designed. This is also when you get to decorate the auditorium for your presentation to the audience when I announce your names as couples and singles.
There are two choices for decorating for Grand March. We can stay on Wednesday after school and stay all evening until the job is done or we can come up Thursday morning (Kennywood Day) and work all day until the job is finished. The majority will rule on this decision.
Mr. Nelson has a list of rules (Do's and Don'ts) of what we are allowed to do in the auditorium. We also need to arrange someone for lighting and sound. You will need to decide what you want to use as decorations in the auditorium. Again, this all comes down to how much money we have budgeted for decorations. This is where fundraising comes into play.
